Rodney Tu first time race to the clouds.

Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) – also known as The Race to the Cloud – is an automobile Hill Climb event taking place in Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs. The challenge is undertaken on the highest altitude track in the world and has been held annually in June since 1916, with 2016 marking it’s 100th anniversary.

A first time rookie, 凃榮政 (Rodney Tu) from Taiwan, competed in the Unlimited class and finished with a podium 3rd. He took on the challenge again this year and finished 3rd in the Unlimited class once more, allowing the Taiwanese flag to stand on the summit of Pikes Peak proudly.

Although Motorsports is largely supported in many countries, it is not supported by the Taiwanese government and is often recognised as illegal racing and modifications. Undertaking the PPIHC race on the tracks of Pikes Peak in America provided a glimpse of freedom… it is only when you step out of your comfort zone do you realise how much you can accomplish in this world.

Let’s enjoy some great footages of the race from the following link.
